The Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications from suitably experienced educators for this significant leadership position within the Human Resources Services Team commencing January 2022. POSITION DESCRIPTION Leading the Leadership and Professional Growth Team within the Human Resource Services, this role supports schools in achieving the vision and mission of the diocese, ensuring growth in faith and improvement in learning for all students. Thus, the role requires a clear commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church. The Team Leader supervises the delivery of services in the Leadership and Professional Growth Team that includes: • the provision of career stage-appropriate professional learning opportunities. •workforce planning support including mentoring programs and appraisal processes. •management of teacher accreditation processes. •organisation of Network Meetings for school-based senior leaders. •management of professional growth support systems such as LMS and MyPaD. ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria: •A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church. •Ability to supervise a diverse team in the delivery of services in the Leadership and Professional Growth Team as outlined above. •Successful history of senior management within the Catholic sector. •A commitment to personal professional development. •Knowledge of and experience in managing a team. The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position of Education Officer, Student Wellbeing K-12, based at the Marian Centre Wollongong, commencing 17 January 2022. POSITION DESCRIPTION This position includes the coordination and discernment of the Respectful Relationships, Child Safety and Human Sexuality Education (RRCSHSE) Framework across the Diocese. This entails the ongoing development of professional learning modules and resources. Working in collaboration with other service areas to support schools at their point of readiness for the implementation of the RRCSHSE Framework. Support for the coordination and delivery of sporting pathways for students and the continued rollout of the Youth Aware of Mental Health program for Year 9 students in schools across the Diocese. The position will also include observing students in classroom settings, working in collaboration with principals, CatholicCare Counsellors, Special Education Coordinators, and other members of the SI-SS Team in developing individual behaviour support plans for students, as well as implementing, and monitoring and evaluating these plans. The position also involves supporting schools, and parents/carers with enrolments of students and transition of students into schools, and other educational settings. An additional aspect of the role requires coaching schools in the implementation of a Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) approach in school settings. The successful applicant will also be required to work closely with members of the SI-SS Team and others in developing, delivering, monitoring and evaluating ongoing personal and professional learning formation and growth experiences for school staff and others.
